  We canceled our service due to increasing costs and went with another service much less expensive. Several months later we received a bill for $120 to pick up their damaged can. When we requested to see the contract where we had agreed to a can removal fee, they were unable to produce it. Now they have sent it with threat of collections. When calling their collection department, the woman simply responded that," it was a service they performed, therefore they charged you for it." So if you choose Republic Services and cancel your service due to the increasing rates, expect to be charged almost what it costs for 6 months of trash removal from one of the other services that is locally owned and operated.
